How to Create a Gmail Account

Creating a free email account is a very simple thing that you can do in a minimum amount of time. If you have an email account from a service like Google, you can check it from anywhere, and it does not matter if you change your Internet service provider (ISP). You can set one up in a matter of minutes.

• Steps

1. Open your web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.
2. Type into your address box (or click on the link) http://mail.google.com.
3. On the right hand side of your screen there should be two boxes. In the lower one it says {Sign up for Gmail} Double click on those BLUE words. It will pull up a screen that should say this. Fill in the form. Remember that your user name will become the first part of your email address.

20. It will pull up an intro page. In the top right hand corner it will say I'm Ready show me my account. Click on those blue letters.

  The first and last name and the user name that you put in as your email address will go out with all your outgoing email. If you prefer not to use your real name, you must enter nicknames in these places, instead.
